Kathy Bates is funny, smart and a truly gifted actress. Dolores Claborne (sp?) and Misery alone put her ahead of most actors out there.
A woman doesn't have to tantalize your cock to be a good actor, or anything. Not directed at anyone here, but the exaggerated revulsion that some guys engage in when a woman is overweight, old, flabby, or even just not "perfect" is so sad. It's so fucking childish.
And Alba is a truly terrible, awful actor. There are many beautiful women who can act to some degree, like K. Knightley & S. Johannsen. When Alba tries to act, I have to keep apologizing to myself for not leaving the theatre.
Bates is also very likable and down to Earth despite her success. Alba may be a very nice person, maybe she's brilliant and will come up with a cure for cancer...but she can't fucking act.
