Sucks Or Rules

There's no college for what I do. Just professional schools (and I attended and excelled at the top institution), and when I work I get paaaaaid, but I am in an odd ass field. For almost anything else I would have gone to college. There are trades out there that can make you a shit load of money without college, but you do spend a lot of time "paying dues" like working 11 hour days for nothing but food and a place to sleep for a coupla years. It's all effort. You set your sites on something and go for it. I can honestly say my life would have been a lot boring if I settled down and went to art college, and I make more than the graduates I know. In this day and age what's most important is becoming as independent of a business person as you can I think.

The grass is always greener on the other side. That is until you decide to grow things from your own pure interest on your side.

I'm doing both- ugh. School, work, plus fun projects on the side. It's all about whatever keeps you happy and what you're good at.
