Tim Burton is a one trick pony. Nolan's are more true to the comics.
Both pretty ordinary - as movies in Hollywood go..Some have brilliant scripts tho - these are from average to below average for an action movie/type...As for directors job of actually shooting the bat fly up and down Gotham....Not bad..I dunno, I generally don't like fantasy hero movies, used to like them tho to about the age of 16....I liked then Batman alot, Tim Burtons Batman :P
