Talisman is lots of fun. a friend of mine has not only the original set but all the expansions too. i think he inharited it from his uncle. however, Hero Quest is even more fun. hell, me and some friends still play Hero Quest from time to time(i like the dwarf).
I admit Hero Quest is a power house. I know far more who've played that than Talisman. Talisman has a very large strong undergound following hough. If you've ever played it you know how adictive it is. Games Workshop really knows how to make good games. It's such a multi level complex game, but they make it so engaging you learn how to play it within the first four moves without even needing the instructions.
Some of my best memories were when I was 10 at my best friend's house playing Hero quest and chugging capri suns. I was always the barbarian. The first figurines I ever painted were from the hero quest set.
Both games are great and have some awesome expansions.
when I read my messages, and it said "your friend killer_wolf" has created a new battle titled ""classic adventure board games""
I was saying, "please tell me "hero quest" is in there !!!
And it fucking is.
I only vote against Talisman because I still own Hero Quest and I fucking love it !!!
Please tell me I'm not the only one here who's played Talisman. There's gotta be a reason why a original set costs 120 bucks average on ebay now... I'm so glad they came out with a good new version recently.
