Walmart settled this battle when the backed Blu-Ray. My buddy had already bought an HD-DVD player too, luckily he was able to return it and only had to pay a 15% "re-stocking" fee. They just knew that technology was dead.
Blu-Ray is technologically superior, but they're still fucking outrageously priced. The discs are still upwards of $35!
I can't stand the price, but I will say that if you google "blu ray" and read about it. it stores more information per disc, and reads at a higher bit rate compared to HD DVD. Sorry, just relaying the info.
I hear ya'. I own neither. My friends parents bought the new HD Tv, and fucking HD DVD's... I can't afford that shit. That's why I haven't voted yet. Because I don't know which one is better myself !
