Halo was,is and always will be lame. Bad junior high game.
Well nesbitt, in the US a tour of duty in the military spent abroad usually lasts from 12 to 18 months at a time. It's been that way for quite some time now.(Since the Korean War as a matter of fact)
Combat tour of duty ranges anywhere from 9 to 18 months.

i wasnt refering to any game as a tour of duty. the tour of duty i was meaning is the time spent abroad in active combat zones, that tend to be, in the British armed forces at least, between 4 months and a year.
If your talking about games as Tours of Duty, that's one thing, in the military there are no such thing as a 'tour of duty lasting 4 months.' Just to let you know up front.
One game I don't mind playing are all the Call of Duty games because it seems to me that it's a pretty cool game set.

'its fucking boring' was refering to the fact that every gaming battle has halo in it, not the game its self, which by the way, is duller than watching dry paint. (i got that the right way round, think it though properly and you might catch on eventually)
the 4 months i was refering to are tours of duty, which, granted i have a limited knowledge, believe to be about the average length of a tour of duty, at least in the Uk armed forces
and come on, we all know the millitary is a ''boys'' club, much like the YMCA.
and i know the net came from the millitary, but it use, and implementation nowadays has little to do with the linking of radar readouts.
Actually nesbitt, I'm playing Halo3 and Assassin's Creed and am finding that AC is crap.

If you have this low of a thought about our military, then either you're just a little kid who doesn't have any values except to be on the computer all the time, or you just have no concept of what Freedom is, as limited as it may be.
The military is the reason you can go online right now and chat, or make battles or whatever you want online. The USNavy is responsible for coming up with the WWW-world wide web.
PS the millitary is an excuse for a bunch of queers to spend 4 months together alone, and away from women, and every other 'normal' and reasonable person on the planet.
console battles is even a new low for you papajack. how many times have we seen halo vs 'every other game possible'. its fucking dull. even the stupid battle where you set the front of 1 girl vs the back of the same stupid girl was better than this dull shit.
